essential tip for studio cosmetic shoot.

On 28th, January, 2018, I had a cosmetic shoot for the class assignment. And this is the photo which I come up with from 2 hours shooting. ISO100, SS 1/125, F4.5, Nikon D5300, 85mm What do you think? Today I wan to introduce 2 equipments which you must have for cosmetic shoots,  and at the end I want to review my shoots. First equipment I want to introduce is Lightmeter. For the cosmetic shoot, Lighting is hugely important. Company wants photographers to get most beautiful pictures and it has to represent the product it self.  And you will be wonder how do you get the right exposure? Lightmeter can solve the problem. Lightmeter is an instrument for measuring the intensity of light, used chiefly to show the correct exposure when taking a photograph. SO before you start shooting, just get the right exposure first! Here is the good Youtube video which shows you how to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHNQAIHWAkg The second equipment is ...

Essential chip for studio shooting

On Sunday, January 21st, I had a shoot with Lillea Goian , she is a lady who I introduced in last blog. She is a 20 years old fashion designer, and one of the most notable young lady in Vancouver, I think. I met her on the street about 5or 6month a go and since then I wanted to have a shoot with her.  And these are the pictures we got.  Today I want to talk about 2 chip which I always do or think when I have a photoshoot. 1. tell your models/clients what you want to get I think this is really important. If you don't have any ideas for the shooting, like about their cloth, color, Background color, expressions and what is your plan for the shoot..etc, you will never get satisfied picture. I think as a photographer, I should be very clear about what I want to get in the shoot before I actually start shooting.  And tell/explain the models what I want to get until they are also able to imagine what I imagine.  so always helpful to get exam...

Event Photography

On January 10th, I photographed the Fashion event WHAT THE F**K ARE THEY DOING.  A friend of mine was opening this event, so I went there for shooting event.  The event was about Fashion, Art, Photography and music. Artists and models were all from Vancouver, and they are almost same age with me. For example, the most important person in this event Lillea Goian(known as lillzkillz), she is still 20 years old, a fashion designer and the founder of profanity. The other artists were also around 22 or less.  I really enjoyed the event, but I found the challenges in the event as well. Actually this was the first time to shoot night event, and using flush. I tried several times of flush shooting before I went there, but it was difficult to get right power of flush light, so I needed to find right exposures at the event.   For finding right exposures, what I did was tried different flush power first, I remembered I was shooting these picture...
